Daily reports

First day

The first group to arrive to Struga was the Lithuanian group. Because of the transportation connections they arrived early in the morning. Second to them was the Macedonian group. They both received the keys from the rooms in the hotel Solferino. While waiting for other groups to arrive they went to have lunch in a traditional Macedonian restaurant named Saint Nichola and had the opportunity to know each other a bit. After that the girls went for shopping in town.

In the evening the first participants from Romania arrived just in time for the diner that was planed in the evening at 7 pm. We had dinner together and it was interesting to have conversations with people from different countries.

At the evening organizer organized a welcome party.

Second day

At 9 we had breakfast and at 10 we started the first training session that included ice breaking games like name crossword, Noun followed by the name, and group building games like Atoms game. We were playing games that were really relax for us and interesting also because they were ice breaking, and we were having more confidence, that they make to speak more. We attended the presentation of the program.

We divided the group into several smaller ones and we went to Struga to take pictures about different topics that we received from the organizers (architecture, religion, culture, people). After we finished and arrived back to the hotel we present our best 15 pictures. This game offered us the possibility to walk trough the city and experienced sightseeing in Struga and to know better each other.

After the diner we attended the international evening were the participants from Macedonia and Lithuania presented their countries with videos and traditional foods and drinks.

Also in this day the missing participants arrived to complete the group.

Third day

After the breakfast and ice breaking games, name and group building games like fruit salad, guess the name we presented the situation of volunteerism in our home countries. For this task we could use the Internet for desk research and find new information. We present the results in front of the whole group.

In the afternoon we attended the presentations about Promotion of volunteerism in EU and Photography as a powerful tool held by two of the organizers.

After the diner we attended the international evening were the participants from Turkey and Romania presented their countries with videos and traditional foods and drinks. We had a lot of fun and we tray a different food.

Fourth day

Because of the weather the planned trip to Vevchani was postponed and we received new tasks. We went into the town and near the lake to search for new interesting sights and make more pictures for our calendar. We choosed the best pictures and select them for presentation; we were having a free time to do what we want. We had 4 hours to work in the town and at 7 pm we had a diner and after that we played games that were really nice and useful for developing the sense of being part of the group. It was fun and that made our project really interesting to us. And in the end off the day we had a night out in the town where all the people from the project had fun. 

Fifth day

This day was the most interesting regarding the sightseeing because this was the day of the trip to Ohrid, a moment that everyone waited for. Ohrid is a beautiful city with a lot of nice places to visit. And the way we organized ourselves was very similar with a treasure hunt, especially because we felt that the places there are like real treasures waiting to be discovered and after splitting we met at a restaurant to eat and drink together. We made a lot of beautiful pictures that can be used in promoting the region. 

Sixth day

First we had breakfast and then we had group building games, we were had the task to find final information necessary to finish our calendar. And because the weather was good we went in Vevchani and we saw a lot of beautiful things. We made pictures about the natural sights of the village and explore the paths; we tried the clean water that we could drink directly from the spring. We got back to the hotel and continued with our work consisting in the writing the daily reports. After finishing our work we prepared for the night out in a local club were we listened to good live music from a Macedonian band.

Seventh day

After the short games we continued with our work in writing the report for current day.
